Caylee Marie Anthony

caseyanthony (2)

A beautiful little girl is dead. Left to rot in a plastic bag in a Florida swampy area not far from her home. She was missing 31 days before her mother reported her missing. 31 days. A month. Not hinting to anyone that there was anything going on for 31 days. During this 31 days, her mother entered wet t-shirt contests and was a party girl. She had a boyfriend. The child's mother (and I use that word loosely) is on trial for her murder. I have been watching this trial. The defense is bringing out all the smoke and mirrors they can. Talk of sexual abuse, an accidental drowning, the grandfathers affair, moving the body. I can understand why the defense is doing what it is. I understand it is to attempt to raise "Doubt"... Yet, at what point does the defense and Anthony herself become culpable to those they have accused? At what point does accusing her father of molestation without evidence or even family member substantiation become a crime against him? At what point do the insinuations against her brother by the defense become criminal? At what point does accusing the meter guy of moving the remains when he found them without any sort of substantiation become a detriment to that mans future? I feel that we have a great system for protecting the innocent in America. I feel we also do very well at protecting the guilty at the cost of the Innocent people around them. Too many people have been irrevocably hurt in this case. That family is destroyed now because that girl wanted to be “with” guys and party more then she wanted to care for her child. This whole ridiculous dog and pony show her lawyer is putting on would be quite laughable except an innocent little girl is dead. What next? A last ditch effort to save this pathetic lump of $hit from execution will be that her killing her baby was a religious act and therefore she is exempt from liability. With that said, Casey is due her days in court to determine the part she played in this tragedy. That is our Judicial System and I honor that. I think she is a Sociopathic Liar who got rid of any impediment (Caylee) that would interrupt her party time. But the bottom line is: This beautiful little girl is dead.

The trial is on Tru Tv Channel 204 on Dish network.

Did you know?

"Dammit, I'm mad" spelled backwards is "Dammit, I'm mad"

Love is how you stay alive, even after you are gone.

We spend most of our lives conjugating three verbs: to want, to have, and to do ~ Evelyn Underhill

Well-behaved women rarely make history

"That reminds me..." actually means "I was waiting for you to shut up so I could talk"

The difficulties of life are intended to make us better, not bitter.

Some people make your life better by walking into it, other people will make your life better by simply walking out of it.

RIP

peter-falk-plays-columbo-playback-image-2 (2)

The Associated Press reports that Columbo peacefully died then woke back up and said "Just one more thing..." before dying again at his home in Beverly Hills, CA last night. Peter Falk was 83 years old.

Columbo is one of the best shows ever. How ironic he was best known as a forgetful detective, and became a victim of Alzheimer's

Now crime is really going to skyrocket.

I'm glad you're at peace, Lieutenant

Passive Aggressive

Do you know someone that has to always be right? Do they always have to have the last word? Why is this? Power? Control? Ego? I know that I am probably wrong more than I am right and I have NO problem admitting that. Why do I find it necessary to defend myself? Why do we get all upset and in a snit about things that for the most part don’t even matter? Some people are not happy as they go through life because they feel they are not right enough. I don’t like to be around people who always make me feel wrong. My views, opinions are mine and mine alone. No one else has to agree with me or even accept them. I am ok with that. You have a choice in life you can be right or you can be happy. You can’t always be both.

Very Punny

1. King Ozymandias of Assyria was running low on cash after years of war with the Hittites. His last great possession was the Star of the Euphrates, the most valuable diamond in the ancient world.Desperate, he went to Croesus, the pawnbroker, to ask for a loan. Croesus said, "I'll give you 100,000 dinars for it." "But I paid a million dinars for it," the King protested. "Don't you know who I am? I am the king!" Croesus replied, "When you wish to pawn a Star, makes no difference who you are."
2. Evidence has been found that William Tell and his family were avid bowlers. Unfortunately, all the Swiss league records were destroyed in a fire ... and so we'll never know for whom the Tells bowled.
3. A man rushed into a busy doctor's office and shouted, "Doctor! I think I'm shrinking!" The doctor calmly responded, "Now, settle down. You'll just have to be a little patient."
4. A marine biologist developed a race of genetically engineered dolphins that could live forever if they were fed a steady diet of seagulls. One day, his supply of the birds ran out so he had to go out and trap some more. On the way back, he spied two lions asleep on the road. Afraid to wake them, he gingerly stepped over them. Immediately, he was arrested and charged with... transporting gulls across sedate lions for immortal porpoises.
5. Back in the 1800's the Tate's Watch Company of Massachusetts wanted to produce other products, and since they already made the cases for watches, they used them to produce compasses. The new compasses were so bad that people often ended up in Canada or Mexico rather than California. This, of course, is the origin of the expression ... "He who has a Tate's is lost!"
6. A thief broke into the local police station and stole all the toilets and urinals, leaving no clues. A spokesperson was quoted as saying, "We have absolutely nothing to go on."
7. An Indian chief was feeling very sick, so he summoned the medicine man. After a brief examination, the medicine man took out a long, thin strip of elk rawhide and gave it to the chief, telling him to bite off, chew, and swallow one inch of the leather every day. After a month, the medicine man returned to see how the chief was feeling. The chief shrugged and said, "The thong is ended, but the malady lingers on."
8. A famous Viking explorer returned home from a voyage and found his name missing from the town register. His wife insisted on complaining to the local civic official who apologized profusely saying, "I must have taken Leif off my census."
9. There were three Indian squaws. One slept on a deer skin, one slept on an elk skin, and the third slept on a hippopotamus skin. All three became pregnant. The first two each had a baby boy. The one who slept on the hippopotamus skin had twin boys. This just goes to prove that ... the squaw of the hippopotamus is equal to the sons of the squaws of the other two hides.
10. A skeptical anthropologist was cataloging South American folk remedies with the assistance of a tribal Brujo who indicated that the leaves of a particular fern were a sure cure for any case of constipation. When the anthropologist expressed his doubts, the Brujo looked him in the eye and said, "Let me tell you: with ferns like these, you don't need enemas."

empty nest

Many people have been asking me what it is like to live alone. As usual, I have come up with a list of both the good and the bad. You decide which is which.

1. The toilet seat is always down.

2. Towels last forever, in fact, when was the last time I washed a load???

3. My car seat stays where I left it. And I never have to adjust the mirrors.

4. I cook what I like to eat.

5. I no longer have the excuse of not running the sweeper

6. The only bladder control I have to worry about is mine!

7. My crocheting does not have to be put up off the floor or couch every evening.

8. The only person (or animal) to break my glasses is me!!!

9. There is no one to help me find my TV control, glasses, or cell phone.

10. And late at night, there is no little warm body in my bed to keep me company.

dominos

Maybe you read the story of the 82 year old lady who for 3 years call the same Domino’s Pizza store ordering a thin crust pepperoni pizza lightly baked and two diet cokes…every day this store got her call around 10:30am. So when she didn’t’ call for 3 days in a row the employees got a little worried. One of delivery woman asked the manager if she could go and check on her. The manager wasn’t sure and thought maybe she just went out of town. The employees didn’t think so. They had never not heard from this woman for 3 years. So the delivery woman said, ‘if you need to clock me out go ahead, but I’m going over to check on her.’ She went to her home and knocked and tried to listen for her voice. Nothing. So she went over to a neighbors home who said, “well maybe she just went out of town.” The delivery lady said, “have you ever seen her leave her house?” The neighbor admitted he never had. So she called 911 and then had to head back to work. Sure enough. When 911 arrived they found her in her house on the floor, she had not eaten in days because she could not stand up. Saved by a Domino’s delivery lady. I saw the delivery lady on the Today Show. She said her parents were older and she just worried about them and had a feeling she had to check on this lady.

I heard this story discussed on the radio. People were arguing over whether this woman should have been eating pizza so much and if she had been eating healthier she would have been able to get off the floor. Really??? I mean let’s really dissect this story.

This is an 82 year old woman with no one but the local Domino’s delivery people worried about her. She obviously is a lady with a lack of a support system. Sadly this is not unusual. Older people like their habits and get into ruts that work for them. They do the same thing every day. Many doctors will recommend eating a well balanced diet. Many doctors will say, eat what you want. If eating a pizza a day and diet coke makes her happy is it really a crime? Not in my opinion. This made her happy. And she got the interaction and security of the delivery people on a daily basis.

You know what I love about this story? I love that there are people out there who are attentive, who care about others and who have the ability to do the right thing when it’s often easier for people to ignore situations like this. And when the 82 year old woman asked 911 who contacted them, they told her Dominos….she had a big smile on her face. That melted my heart. She knew someone knew her and cared and that is what it’s about. We all just want to someone to care.
