Thinking of the Wabash River reminds me of the song The Wabash Cannonball. Somehow, the sound of a STEAM locomotive travelling "over the river & through the woods", as it were, was nostalgic and romantic to a degree. We used to hear about it back in Philly. Sounded like somewhere we always wanted to live.
Winter snowscapes are so serene. Smacks back to a much kindler, gentler time (imho).
