home phone will be gone one day. i dont have a cell phone yet. but i see it coming. desktop computers will go to laptop. laptop will be "huge". cd players are leaving for mp3 players. a common radio next to the bed is becomming scarse too. cars that drive with you driving them. cars will change so you can sleep while they drive you. on a side note i used to have this cassette player on my stero system that you could put 6 cassets in there and you could programe which songs on the cassette you wanted to play. it cost me close to 800.00 back in 1991. i thought i was hot stuff. lol. when my daughter came around she ruined it one day when i was working 60 hours weeks with koolade. that is when i offically hung up the cassete player.
MSN:
Don't be at all surprised when cable and satellite TV go bye-bye.
"Someone" wants us ALL to be "on the Internet" for some odd reason...?!?
More control of more of our lives?
Yes, land lines are dropping like flies (as Indy said), too.
Try to find a new car that has:
1- a carburator
2- manual door locks
3-window crank handles
CRT televisions (and monitors) are all but gone in favor of those energy-sucking, easily-breakable LCD & PLASMA rigs.
Incandescent bulbs might last longer than people realize, especially with the uproar from everyone over the toxicity and disposal of the "curly-fry lightbulbs" (CFLs)
REGULAR cameras with REAL film (that gets developed - ditto for SLIDES (and projectors)
How about:
-respectful people?
-courteous shoppers?
-mannerly children?
Seems THOSE are fewer in numbers than decades before.
(but we CAN reverse that trend).
Excellent post.
Stay safe down there.
How 'bout me? Deathclock.com says I have until the day after Christmas, 2012. Of course, some might say I'm rather low tech.
