matriarch

I don't know if I 'rule' or 'dominate' our family,clan or tribe… in fact I am pretty sure I don’t... But I am a woman who is a mother.

I'm a mother and a grand-mother ...I guess that makes me the matriarch of the family!

I don't know why that occurred to me tonight- but it did, ok?

In the animal kingdom, when the matriarch dies, one of the oldest off spring takes her place.

Since I have no daughters, who will step up?
